Security & data practices
Last updated May 17, 2026
This page explains how we approach security and personal data when you use Fecrypt. It supplements our Terms of service.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Payment details are handled on their infrastructure under their security standards. We typically retain only what those providers share with us to confirm transactions and support billing (for example transaction identifiers and amounts), not full card numbers.
Data we store
To run the product and honour purchases, we store information such as:
- Usage of our tools — what you ran and related operational metadata we need to deliver the service.
- File size associated with requests or uploads, where relevant to processing or quotas.
- Keys / grants used and credit balance — so entitlements and limits are enforced correctly.
- Previous credit purchases — for receipts, support, fraud prevention, and accounting.
- Discord ID, profile picture, and email address where you sign in or connect Discord — for account identity, support, and product features that depend on your profile.
How we use data
We use this information only to provide and improve the service you asked for — for example authentication, billing, quotas, debugging, abuse prevention, and customer support. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and sharing
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. We may use subprocessors (such as hosting, analytics, or payment partners) who process data on our instructions. We do not allow them to use your data for their own marketing.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain data. Contact us through the same channels you use for product support and we will respond in line with applicable rules.
Practices may evolve as the product grows; we will update this page when we make material changes.
